Here is a Question from One of Our Customers:

I have a huge natural crystal shaft. 18" long x 7" diameter. It has not been polished or cut. I would like to cut the top into a point. Is there a preferred sided 'point' I should have cut? (4, 5, 6, 7, 8-sided point?) I heard that crystal placed on the north window of a house (w/point) will attract good healing energy, success or the like. I would much appreciate if you can shed any facts with me regarding the best use for this incredible piece, and it's significance.

Hi M,
I must share the standard disclaimer that I am not a doctor and cannot give out medical advice. Crystals for healing should be used as a compliment to other therapies and not as a replacement for regular medical care.

How you will use the crystal will determine what kind of point you want cut. a six sided point with equal sized faces with create a generator crystal that is good for working in grids. Below is a link to the article on crystal formations and pictures to demonstrate each. https://www.healingcrystals.com/Crystal_Formations_Articles_1035.html It will give you an idea on uses and cuts.
