Hello,
I don't feel that any crystals are more prominent or "overpowering" of other crystal's properties, nor have I read anything like that. The idea I've seen (and it makes sense to me) is that using two crystals with opposing properties could possibly cancel each other's energies out, where you might not feel an effect from either. For example, using Red Tiger Eye and Blue Lace Agate together. Red Tiger Eye has a stimulating energy with properties such as being physically energizing and providing motivation and enthusiasm. Blue Lace Agate has a tranquil energy with properties such as thinking before speaking, being physically sedating, helping with sleep and relieving stress.
