Can you tell me what a Key Crystal is and what is its meaning?

Good Morning,
A Key Crystal looks very similar to a key :) The Key Crystals I am familiar with have at least a three-sided indentation/notch along the edge of one side of the crystal.
It is said that Key Crystals are used to access otherwise hidden information, to "unlock the doors" so to speak of this info. The Key Crystal is often used to help resolve issues, solve problems and provide answers for difficult questions.
