I would like to learn more about crystals, and what they do and stand for. Would you recommend a good beginner book?
Hello,
Thank you for contacting Healingcrystals.com with your question. For a beginner book, I like"The Encyclopedia of Crystals" by Judy Hall. "Crystals" by Jennie Harding is also a simple beginner's book. I also found that when I was building my library of crystal resources, my local bookstore would often put books on gemstones and crystals as well as crystal healing on clearance, so as I checked that rack regularly, I picked up a variety of books for very little cost. It's helpful to have more than one book to compare pictures when trying to identify crystals.
Some other authors you might want to check out are: Hibiscus Moon, Phillip Purmutt, Robert Simmons and Naisha Ashian. The Healingcrystals.com website also has some wonderful resources, such as lists of crystals and metaphysical information (on the left side of our home page). Our search engine can take you to crystals and articles about crystals to help answer your specific crystal questions.
I hope this information has been helpful to you. Please contact us again if we can be of any further assistance.
Crystal Blessings!
Debbie
