How Long to Cleanse Crystals in Salt

"How long is too long when clearing my crystals with salt?"

 

Answer:

Hi there SM,

Thanks for your crystal question.
It's difficult to give you an exact time because it will depend on a few factors such as

  • The crystal itself - is it one that's considered more soft or fragile like Selenite or Calcite, then more than overnight may be too long.
  • What the crystal was used for - if it was for an intense meditation or healing session, then you'd want to keep it cleansed for perhaps longer than usual.

You're going to have to check with each crystal and see how they feel in order to know if they need perhaps more time or not.

Generally speaking, overnight should be long enough for a salt clearing in most cases, but some crystals may need a full day.
