Cinnabar is a small, scarlet to brick-red crystal with brown tones. It is translucent to opaque and seems to be almost metallic - as if it is made up of many small crystals. Cinnabar can commonly be found growing with Clear Quartz.

Cinnabar stimulates dignity, vitality and power. It can be very beneficial in the world of business and finance. Cinnabar helps to attract abundance. Placing Cinnabar in one's cash box has produced an increase in income to the holder and can also help maintain the acquisition of wealth.

Cinnabar aids in community work, helping to remember that "to give is Divine". Cinnabar connects one with the source of all being.

Physically, Cinnabar can assist in treating sexual dysfunction and infertility, used to support treatment of blood disorders and in the treating of fungal and viral infections. It is also an excellent stone for extracting energy blockages.

Caution: Contains Mercury which can be poisonous/toxic! Wash hands after holding. Do not touch hands to eyes or mouth while holding. Do not use in elixirs. Read more about toxic stones here.

I'm in the middle of making a binder for myself, so I can have a quick reference to the healing properties of the stones I personally have, without the use of the internet or electricity.
I have this stone, and I've done a lot of research on this stone. There seems to be a lot of confusion between cinnabar (a deep red stone, that is seen as being poisonous), and cinnabrite, which is the stone pictured here. I really love this website, and use it often for my research on metaphysical properties on stones/crystals, but this particular stone might need some more research on your end, just to clarify the differences between the two stones and their correct naming. Otherwise, this site rocks! ;)  (Submitted by: JMc on August 31, 2018)
