Very glad to have stumbled upon your article. I made my mother and me our first medicine bags and realized I did some things incorrectly as some of the crystals became damaged. (I actually kissed their boo boos and apologized like you do to a little kid but admitted to them that now they are imperfect justlike me and that makes them even more beautiful.) Now I wonder if I hurt their feelings. I will try to see what they want tomorrow. I also wanted to take a smaller piece of a rough amethyst stone/crystal but I will be asking permission instead of forgiveness now. (I actually gave away a small amethyst crystal to a friend tonight. I could feel ahe needed it and it seemed to agree but now I need more for my medicine bag and I cannot handle a palm sized piece in my bag with all the other whole stones I am already carrying. So, thank you again. (Submitted by: Bambi on September 15, 2021) |

I had a large flat oval bead break once. Now I believe it broke because it wanted me to know it wasn't what it was sold to me as. It was supposed to be fire agate. It turned out to be a thickly glazed white stone. Thank you for letting me know it was very unhappy to be misrepresented. I had thought about repairing it, but now I just need to figure out just what it wants. (Submitted by: Deana Dean on February 03, 2021) |

This is interesting. I was told that when a crystal breaks that you must give it back to nature either by burying it in the ground and leaving it there or throwing it in a lake or some other part of nature. I was also told that when a crystal breaks or you lose it, that could be because it has already done for you what it was intended to do. (Submitted by: Atma Sharir on October 08, 2016) |
