I have SEVERE arthritis--fingers are crooked; hip will be replaced this Christmas. I throw up with most pain meds so my husband made a necklace made out of crushed amethyst crystals. I wear it all the time and it does not rid me of pain; but certainly helps me be able to move, work full time, surf, paddle an outrigger canoe--which for 64 years of age is not bad. I also am an Autism Specialist (have been a teacher, principal, psych or 43 years) for the past 12 years. Most of my students/clients wear one of the crystals in a pocket or as a necklace during the day. Behaviors and focus have vastly improved. Most are on grade level with few, if any, behavior problems (middle school). All came to our program designated as "severe"--cannot learn--etc. One ninth grader who was with us for three years recently moved to Texas. That district had a difficult time placing her as she no longer fits the "severe" autism diagnosis. She reads on grade level, cares for her female needs, cares for her hygiene, writes her own stories and illustrates them based on favorites she had read to her in the past. She now is able to make friends. Her verbal acuity is still borderline; but we feel it is more due to trust than an actual speech disability. So I do not know how much the crystals help my students/clients; but I do see remarkable changes within a few days of students wearing them. I have not tried anything other than crushed amethyst.  (Submitted by: BeccasHeart on September 22, 2013)

For ADHD, I think I like Citrine. Both of them gave me a positive feeling. I have ADHD.

I might like Amethyst too.

I'm new to this crystal stuff but they both seemed to work for me.  (Submitted by: ricky on September 30, 2011)
