Sorry to hear about your lost spirit! It can be disconcerting to experience this kind of energy - especially when you can "feel" it more than "see" it. I've included an article on clearing dark energies. Although this energy may not be "dark" and more annoying, the same practices still apply. And yes, placing crystals at the four corners of your home can change the energetic vibration and make it more "light" which can then change the behavior of the spirit so it doesn't have the need to grab you and your family members. Spirits are just souls that are attached to the physical plane. Some don't know how to go into the light, some just want to stay here.
