*2014* Moon Forecast: The Moons of December
By Tara Mideaker
Can you believe that we’ve reached the last full Lunar Cycle for 2014? The good news is that the Universe has saved one of the best for last and it will help you to end the year in a very good place. Many of us are our own worst critics and that becomes more prominent as the year comes to a close. We tend to focus on what we didn’t do and what we failed to accomplish. Well it’s time to open up the windows (even if it’s cold outside) and throw out all that negativity! This is a really empowering cycle with lots of positive energy to encourage you to feel good about what you have accomplished, forget about what didn’t happen and be optimistic about what is ahead.
The New Moon in Sagittarius on November 22nd is typically a time of tranquility within the Lunar Cycle. It is meant to give you time to prepare emotionally for what you are about to embark upon physically. Sagittarius energy is a little too buoyant to sit quietly in the background, so expect to feel a little more rambunctious than usual. You may find your imagination filled with all kinds of potential and possibilities. The very best part is that nothing seems impossible because you realize that you have the ability to make anything happen. That’s the kind of energy that you want to work with as you formulate short term plans and long term strategies. You probably won’t need it, but Sunstone will be wonderful to carry for a confidence booster. Turquoise will remind you that there really are no limits to what you can do.
During the First Quarter Moon in Pisces on November 29th, you want to recognize the good in your life and consider how to expand it. Pisces brings out the dreamer in all of us and its energy will encourage you to view things in the best possible light. Your impressions may not be realistic but that isn’t always such a bad thing. What would you do if you only had opportunities instead of challenges? What if you could use your imagination to make everything work solely for your benefit? A Pisces Moon gives you the spiritual energy to be assured that, not only will your endeavors prove successful, but the journey is going to be amazing. Blue Calcite will clear away any doubts. Fuchsite will spark your creativity and give you ideas on what to do about those grand ideas.
Gemini is arguably the most committed sign in the Zodiac. Once their mind is made up they are not easily swayed and, once they set their course, they are unstoppable. A Full Moon in Gemini on December 6th is going to give you the best of this energy to determine what you want and then go and get it. If you have already started something then you will want to take another step (or two) towards its completion. If you have yet to begin, then this energy can set things in motion. It won’t matter how big or small your actions are since the end result will be a feeling of success and encouragement.
Lapis Lazuli lets you share and work with others, since communications are favorable under a Gemini sky. Fancy Jasper reminds you to focus on the present and follow your inner convictions.
You could not ask for a better way to end this cycle then with a Virgo Moon in the Last Quarter on December 14th. Virgo will show you how to appreciate what you have achieved and capitalize upon it. It will also let you know when it’s time to rest and take care of yourself. Many of us are in the midst of the busy season and this is the perfect time to take a break from the frantic pace. When it’s time to get going again, the Virgo influence will help you find the next logical step in your path to success.
Abalone Shell will soothe and inspire you. Green Aventurine will make you feel amazing and help you to attract only the most positive energies for the rest of 2014 and into the New Year.
The Winter Solstice and a Capricorn New Moon will headline the Moon's activity for the rest of 2014, so check back next month to see how we wrap up 2014.
