Hi I have a choice to buy one of two stone necklaces either Serpentine or White Jasper. I am not sure which is best. I lost both my parents recently. I was quite close to my Dad and I am having a time adjusting. I have a 6 year-old and I am a very nervous person. I apologize for the long winded message I just want to make the best choice. Thank you so very much for your time!

Hello K,

Thank you for your inquiry.  I am sorry to hear about your loss.  Given your current circumstance/needs, White Jasper seems like a good choice:

"White Jasper is an uplifting stone, bringing hope and new beginnings (albeit slowly), especially after a loss. Use White Jasper to protect against negativity, while keeping your emotions stable when experiencing change or chaotic situations. White Jasper is helpful for new mothers and their babies, helping instill that ‘Jasper nurturing nature’. Used with the Crown chakra, White Jasper creates a balanced mind and body simultaneously. It is often used for fulfilling dreams and wishes.  In general, Jasper is known as the “supreme nurturer.” It sustains and supports during times of stress, and brings tranquility and wholeness. Used in healing, Jasper unifies all aspects of your life. Jasper reminds people to help each other."

Apache Tears
are also a great choice for healing from grief and loss:

"Apache Tears are the translucent variety of Black Obsidian. They are made of volcanic glass. Apache Tears received their name because it is said that grieving Apache women, who lost their loved ones in a raid, cried for a month and their tears fell to the ground, becoming a form of Black Obsidian. This is why Apache Tears will often protect the wearer from grief and sorrow. The Tears will absorb the grief and release old hurts, and lifting the spirit. They allow you to forgive others without being bitter. "

Crystal Blessings,

Cassie
