I am seeking advice...
1. (I heard tumbled stones radiate more evenly, but with more limited spatial distribution and need to be in contact with your skin to be affective.) Is it true that natural (rough) crystals left in their natural state, will display the real character (qualities and healing affects) of the mineral most clearly, compared to a tumbled stone?
2. I heard that a crystal can take on the qualities of others, if crystals are stored together (eg. clear quartz.). How should crystals be stored?
Thank you for your inquiry. You will find a lot of different viewpoints on the shape debate. I feel that the shape does affect energy output, as you mention, but do not feel that a tumbled stone has had it's qualities diminished in any way. Sometimes the tumbling process brings out more beauty in the stone, perhaps allowing you to see a rainbow within that wasn't visible prior. It really is a matter of personal preference in regards to what you plan to use it for. The same stone raw or tumbled will display the same basic properties.
Some crystals, such as Clear Quartz, Selenite, andHerkimer Diamonds will not "take on" the qualities of other crystals nearby but may amplify their energies. If this is not something you desire, you can store them separately from your other pieces. Crystals can be stored in glass containers, or on display in dishes and bowls. Small candle holders work well, as do these cloth pouches.

I must share the standard disclaimer that I am not a doctor and cannot give out medical advice. Crystals for healing should be used as a complement to other therapies and not as a replacement for regular medical care. The information offered here is based on a combination of my own personal experiences and that of others on using crystals for healing. My hope is that you will let your own intuition guide your path in working with crystals as well.
