Thank you for your inquiry. Crystals are great to give and receive, and Smokey Quartz is known for being protective and grounding. It is also great for transmuting electromagnetic frequencies that may impact us negatively, so there for a good choice to place on or near electronics such as computers and microwaves. I've since began to interpret the Bagua differently, using the directions in my home as a guide that corresponds with the respective areas of life. Using this method the area of your home facing North would be your career, East is family and physical health, South is fame, and West is children and creativity.
