Good evening. I have a question in regard to Pyrite and the difference between the different stones listed on your site. I recently ordered one of the Tumbled Pyrite (Spain) stones from you and it made an incredible impact on my life and overall health & well being. Unfortunately, I can not find it anywhere and am starting to believe that it may have been stolen. I then came back to your site to order another one when I saw the Pyrite Cabochons. I was curious as to what makes these better/different than the Tumbled Pyrite stones (If that's the case). I read the description on both and couldn't really decipher the difference as I'm fairly new to crystal healing. Thank you so much for taking the time out of your day t o read and answer this. :) Blessings!

Hi C,

Thank you for contacting us with your questions.

One is not "better" than the other when it comes to the Pyritetumbled stones and cabochons. The cabochons are a bit more expensive because they are pyrite clusters that have been hand cut and polished into the flatter shape. The tumbled stones are pyrite pieces that have been mechanically polished and are closer the the original shape of the stone. Again, one method is not better than the other...just more labor intensive and therefore more costly and a different grade of stone to begin with. I love the energy of both of them!

I hope this helps!

Crystal Blessings!

  Hi Stephanie

all good what you are explaining. Only one correction: Tumbled pyrite pieces (also chrysocolla and many other minerals) are nowhere near the natural shape of the stone. The tumble shape is also hand pre-cut and then rounded and polished in tumblers and imitates the shape of a river pebble. However most of these minerals are coming from mines and exist in thick veins. They are not found as river pebbles at all.

Apart of that you are right. No difference energywise.
