Thank you for your crystal inquiry.
Working with pendulums is a great way to gain access to information you might need for growth and your higher good. I have several pendulums in differing crystals, brass or a combination of both. When choosing a type of crystal, metal or wood to use many choose what they are most attracted to in terms of shape, color, or type of crystal. No one crystal, in my opinion, is going to give your more defined answers. Each person's connection to their pendulum is unique.
Of the many pendulums I have, some work very well for me and the more I use it and stay connected to it the better it answers. To get more defined answers it may only be a matter of finding the one you are attracted to and working with it on a steady basis. That is not to say you should use it for every decision in your life, as by doing this you give up your free will to the pendulum.
