Question:

"Regarding crystals that are helpful in the strengthening of nails on the hands, which have suffered some splitting / cracking; would that Tumbled Silt Fossil from India be one?"

Answer:

Hi J,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

Tumbled Fossils in Silt is one option that you could look at yes.

I can also offer you a few tips for nail care as I had a background in nails:

  • Take a look at your diet. Often what we consume plays a big part in strengthening and weakening our nails, so junk and processed food can weaken the nails in the long run.
  • Drink lots of water. It really does help to strengthen the nails. Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate!
  • Remember that nails are jewels and not tools so do not use them to open cans, tap on things, etc. Treat them well and they'll grow.
  • Your mantra: moisturize, moisturize, moisturize. Sometimes weak and brittle nails can be a oil/moisture imbalance that needs attending so. Many will wash the dishes or work in water and not moisturize their hands and cuticles. Give them some moisture with a great cuticle oil (Badgers is one of the best brands of cuticle balm) and hand cream.
  • Lastly: visit your doctor to make sure that there isn't an underlying, more serious condition at play. Our nails can often be a huge indicator for our health and it's always a good idea to make sure you are in tip top condition physically. Crystals and all the nail tips can help complement therapy but they cannot cure an underlying issue.

I would say that the Tumbled Fossils in Silt can definitely help you to take better care of your nails and be more mindful of how you are using your hands/nails.

I hope this helps :)
