Question:

"Hi! I was wondering if you could help give me some advice on the best crystals to use for my dog? I was hoping to find crystals for several things that could help him.

He has arthritis, mostly in his back legs. My vet just did an X-ray and his spine is not shaped like it should be. He’s on medication for this, but I need all the healing I can get for him. He also has an enlarged heart. He’s had heart problems all his life, and heart surgery as a puppy so it’s very scary his heart is so enlarged. Lastly, I’m wondering if there are crystals to help with Appetite? He is literally the worlds pickiest dog!

Thank you so much!"

Answer:

Hi Christi,

Thanks for reaching out to us and I'm sorry to hear about your furbaby.

ARTHRITIS:
For arthritis, I'd recommend the following: Blue Calcite or Blue Lace Agate to reduce inflammation, along with Carnelian to reduce stiffness. When dogs get older, they sleep/lie down a lot and so the joints and muscles need that extra warmth. I'd recommend you keep these in the bed or wherever they spend a lot of time. You can put it in a little pouch or tucked away where they can't get to it. Also, always make sure that the pieces are big enough so that they don't swallow them.

With it being in his back legs, you can also give him light massages with the crystals.

HEART HEALING:
For the heart, I'd recommend working with Bloodstone. This can also put in the little pouch I recommend above, with the intention of helping his heart.

APPETITE:
For appetite, you can look into Apatite to help regulate his appetite along with Peridot to encourage healthy eating habits.

These you could put near his food bowl but again, make sure that they are big enough that he doesn't swallow them OR you can put it in a separate pouch for him.
My senior baby is also incredibly fussy so what I do is give her Chicken Broth which I make for her and that encourages her to eat her vegetables. This has helped a lot because she really wouldn't eat her veggies and only would eat the pellets. I try to give them more of an all-around diet as opposed to just pellets. Sometimes they make us jump out the box to try different things for them.

I hope this helps a bit Christi and I'm wishing the two of you all the best ?
