Question:

"I have back discomfort. Upper and middle, mostly. Possibly due to stress(carrying the world on my back), computer posture and posture during sleep. Which crystal(s) is best for this? I am considering a necklace as it would be difficult for me to place a stone/crystal directly on my back area that is affected. "

Answer:

Hi there J,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

Something that I could recommend which helps me with back ache, because I spend a good portion of my day sitting behind a computer too, is yoga. I find yoga really helps me so that may be something you can look into or just gentle stretching may be beneficial.

For pain relief I'd recommend Smokey Quartz or Malachite. Both are known to be really great pain relievers. You can lie with either of these on your back for 10-15 minutes or until the pain subsides a little bit. We have Malachite chip necklaces available, but we only have Smokey Quartz bracelets at this current time. You could also use tumbled stones if you would prefer to lie down with them.

One specifically for the back that you could use is Selenite. You can lie on your tummy, with a nice Selenite blade on the spine and lie there for 10-15 minutes. Alternatively, you can put it under your mattress at night. We don't have any blades in stock at this current time, but you can use these Wands as an alternative.

Something that you could consider is a donut stone (or these gemstone ring stands), wrap it on a long cotton cord and wear that on your back. Instead of the pendant hanging in the front, you hang it onto your back.

I hope this helps but if you need assistance with anything else, don't hesitate to let me know.
