Hi Arimargulies,
I have never worked with Red Tourmaline before, but I have a little bit with Green Tourmaline.
It's such a lovely one for the heart. It offers you heart protection which is helpful if you've been through a rough time or trauma but it also helps you begin healing so that you don't CLOSE the heart.
All tourmaline is protective on different levels and they are beautiful stones to work with that encourage you to see the benefits to challenges you're going through (like the light in a dark tunnel).
