Hello I was just wondering what the Healing Crystals staff think of the healing properties of lab created (identical as far as chemical composition) gems versus the healing properties of natural gems? I am trying to decide which to get and do not know how different the lab created ones would feel compared to the natural ones.
Thank you for your question about the differences between lab created and and natural crystals. The basic answer to your question is that we sell both natural and lab created crystals and they have different energies. Scientifically there are several ways to "create" crystals in a lab. They use heat and various natural substances like water and salt to grow new crystals and even alter the color or shape of existing ones. These crystals will have very different properties and energies then natural crystals. That does not mean that it is not helpful energy for healing. It is just different. For instance Goldstoneis a man-made crystal that has very powerful healing properties. Obviously natural crystals come right from the ground so some people believe that they have a stronger, un-altered energy. But if you think about it, someone had to pull it from the ground and someone else cleaned it up and shipped it....and you get the idea. All of those interactions will have an affect on the "natural" crystal and potentially alter it's energy.
My suggestion is to try both and see what works for you. Goldstoneis a cost effective crystal to try and then choose a more natural crystal and see how the energy feels to you. Personally, I don't believe in worrying about if it is naturally or lab grown, as long as the energy feels good and positive.
Thank you again for your question. I would love to hear back from you and see which crystals that you chose and how they worked for you. Please let me know if you have any other questions and thank you for your support of Healing Crystals.com.
Wishing you Love and Light!
