Here is a question from one of our customers:

Q:  Turns out my mom suffers from Piriformis. We thought it was arthritis this whole time.  She does take medicine at the moment but was wondering if there is a gemstone that can also help with healing.

Answer:

Dear J,
I must share the standard disclaimer that I am not a doctor and cannot give out medical advice. Crystals for healing should be used as a compliment to other therapies and not as a replacement for regular medical care.  I would like to start by suggesting some crystals.

This is not a disease but damage to the nerve and muscles of the lower back that can effect the legs. While there is no conclusive cause or treatment, we can try to treat the effected organs. I have given you a long list of crystals as you and your mother will need to try different combinations to find what works for her.  In addition to the list below, I would also recommend  Blue Lace Agate and Kunzite. The Blue Lace Agate calms nerves, and Kunzite calms frayed nerves and emotional stress caused by the condition.

Nerve disorders
Amazonite-dissipates blockages
Amber-strengthens tissues
Aragonite-stimulates healing
Chalcopyrite-stimulates
Chrysoprase-system cell rejuvenation
Chrysocolla-general
Hedenbergite-heals at cellular level
Hemimorphite-integration
Manganocalcite-heals at cellular level

Muscle
Danburite-increases tone and motor function
Dolomite-helps to build, tone
Dioptase-cramping
Iolite-relaxes muscles
Kunzite-treats disorders
Lepidolite-treatment of disorders

In this case sleep with the crystals around her. That is when the body is most relaxed and the crystals can concentrate on the healing.
