I have never owned crystals before and I am overwhelmed by all the information.  I am looking to ground myself so that I am not overwhelmed with emotion and absorb a lot of negative energy and I need help with detoxing myself; I find myself tired a lot and over sleeping. I also need help concentrated on what I am doing because I tend to get off track. The stones that interest me are the Red Jasper and the blood stone.
Do you think these will be helpful to start off with?

Need help with my charkas as well. I took a quiz to estimate and here are the results:

Root:under-active(-50%)

Sacral:open(31%)

Navel:under-active(6%)

Heart:open(19%)

Throat:under-active(-6%)

Third Eye:under-active(-6%)

Crown:open(31%)

Thank you for your inquiry.  To start you on your crystal adventures, I would suggest reading a book or two on crystals. To help you learn what to do with them you may want to try Crystals, by Christina Rodenbeck or Beginner's Guide to Crystals by Denise Whichello Brown. To learn more about different crystals I suggest Judy Hall's 101 Power Crystals .

Since you own Red Jasper I would use that for grounding.

I would use the Bloodstone you own for detoxing.

To help with protecting yourself from negative energy, I would use Spinel, Black Tourmaline, and Black Obsidian.

To help with concentration I would use Fluorite.

You may also wish to see a medical practioner. Your physical symptoms could be signs of a condition that would need allopathic care.

I hope that these recommendations can be of assistance and that crystals grace your journey with love and light.

Crystal Blessings!
