Question:  What Crystals Can a Transgender Use to Balance Hormones?

Hi there,
This will be an odd question. I am transgendered, and we are having trouble balancing my thyroid med, my testosterone level, and my estrogen. My testosterone and thyroid levels were recently too high, so we cut the testosterone in half, lowered the thyroid med, and to avoid future estrogen flairs I’m taking a natural estrogen blocker called DIM. I need my testosterone level to be high in order to feel healthy and normal however, but I think my slow functioning liver may not be able to process it so it doesn't build up and turn into estrogen.
I know this is a complex issue, and that you are not doctors. But I would just like any insights as to whether stones would help if my body is still female? I know stones will help my liver and my thyroid, but are there stones to enhance testosterone or with the use of intent, convince my body it is male?
Sincerely,
T/T

Answer:  Hi T,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

I am not a doctor and cannot give medical advice. Crystals for healing should be used as a complement to other therapies and not as a replacement for regular medical care.
I am unsure if there are any crystals to enhance testosterone and I can't seem to find any sources for this, but I can recommend some crystals with a masculine energy that may assist you.

Crystals that I feel have a masculine energy are HematiteRed JasperGarnetMahogany Obsidian, male Boji stone (has protrusions and isn't smooth like the female Boji stone) Pyrite and Gold.

Hematite, Red Jasper, Garnet, Mahogany Obsidian, and male Boji stones can be related to the root chakra (men's sexuality is also related to the root chakra).
They are recommended to help you to feel more grounded, supported and centered especially if you're going through a tough time. It can also remind you that everything is working out in its own way.

Philip Permutt (The Crystal Healer, 2016) recommends that:
Pyrite may be good for the brain, memory and thought processes.
Gold can be physically good for hormones as well as for mental balance.
Black Tourmaline is recommended for the adrenal glands and testosterone is produced by the gonads (by the Leydig cells in testes in men and by the ovaries in women), although small quantities are also produced by the adrenal glands in both sexes. Tourmaline also has a masculine energy to it.

Crystals that help balance the masculine and feminine energies:
Amazonite Tektite, Zebra Jasper.

I know these are a lot of crystals and if you are attracted to any of these, you could make a mojo/medicine bag with your crystals and your intention to keep with you in your environment or meditate with.
