Here is a question from one of our customers:
Q: To whom it may concern,
I am,having few problems and trying to do self healing using crystal.
I am suffering from OCD ,obsessive thought, depression, stress, lazy, sluggishnes, lack of confidence, vitality, will power, fear of rejection, always worry of what people think/talk about me,cloudy thinking, very sensitive for what people say to me(easily get offended),emotional problem such as anger, jealousy. I always feel that my mind is full so if there is something I need to do I don?t feel focus and confused and sometimes it makes me feel stressful and angry. When I sit in the office,I am not thinking of doing any work/anything but I will just sit there and playing computer,indifferent..I went to see a psychiatrist and I was given a few medicine like Zoloft etc,at first it do helps me,but after sometime (stop taking the medicine )it comes back again. I have bought few crystals like amethyst, rose quart, aventurine, citrine, yellow topaz, moldavite, smoky quartz, kyanite, gold rutile, bracelet for 3rd chakra(citrine, amber, sunstone, carnelian in one bracelet), for 1st chakra (Garnet, hematite, red jasper, smoky quartz).I have tried to wear a few crystal with me but after sometimes I don?t feel comfortable, then change to another crystal, like wearing the bracelet for 1st chakra and 3rd chakra but after sometimes I feel that I am full of anger, feel uncomfortable so I think maybe it is too strong for me,or maybe the crystal don?t match me,or don?t match with the other crystal.?The problem is I don?t know which crystal is best for me? Or should I combine them?Which issue should I heal first?
I must share the standard disclaimer that I am not a doctor and cannot give out medical advice. Crystals for healing should be used as a compliment to other therapies and not as a replacement for regular medical care. With that said, for your condition, I would like to start by suggesting some crystals that can help to ease pain, uplift the spirit, and remove/release anger and fear.
May I suggest you take up meditation. Slow down, find a quite place and release everything from your mind. A simple method to clear your mind is to see a blank piece of paper in front of you and imagine it filling your mind. See it as empty, white and free of debris. Concentrate on that to the exclusion of anything else. This will allow you to clear your mind for a while. May I suggest you read the following article. it will help you get a handle on things. You are trying to do to many things a once. choose the one most important thing and work on it first. set priorities. when you try to do too much at once you end up doing nothing. I truly believe that in this case you must use the crystals in conjunction with the traditional medicine. Stopping your medication can be dangerous. If you are not getting the help you need from one Dr. seek another. It never hurts to have a second opinion.
Find a Reiki practitioner and ask for healing sessions. There are some wonderful people out there who can and will help you. I hope for the best for you
| I love the answers your staff gives to people regarding medications. There are ALOT of irresponsible sites, practitioners, and metaphysical "experts" out there whose first advise is to stop the medicine. I have several severely mentally ill people in my family, bi-polar disorder, schizophrenia & borderline personality disorder. If any of these three stopped their much needed medication the results would be disastrous.|
For several years now I have suggested augmenting their treatments with appropriate crystals. No medicine for mental illness works 100%, the crystals take up some of the slack and are a huge aid.
I would like to thank the Healing Crystals.com staff for their consistent, responsible answers. Crystals can and do help the symptoms still present even with proper medication.
I love your site, I love your staff and I love the practical information you offer here for free! I have an ever growing wish list and hope to be ordering it all soon!!! :-)
Thank you again, as a family member taking care of three people of different ages and diagnosis I appreciate you guys saying "don't stop your meds!!!" (Submitted by: sandra on January 01, 2011)
