I ran across a couple of clear crystals in some beading supplies I bought from a friend. What can I use it for? I also wondered if the Banded Amethyst I already own will be good for my son's headache treatment.
Thank you for contacting HealingCrystals.com with your crystal questions. I must first share that I am not a medical professional and cannot diagnose or prescribe treatments for medical issues. Crystals are meant to be used as a supportive therapy for the treatments prescribed by your medical professional.
Crystals are very fun to bead with. Making jewelry is actually how I became interested in crystal and crystal healing. Without knowing more about the clear crystals you bought from your friend, I really can’t say what they can be used for. Many “crystal” beads are actually lead crystal like “Swarovski” and are not known to have any healing properties. (Although I firmly believe that the joy that comes from wearing something sparkly and beautiful has its own healing benefits!) They could also be Clear Quartz, which is the most versatile of crystals and can be programmed and worn for just about any healing purpose. If your friend doesn’t know what type of crystal they are, a local gemstone and mineral shop might be able to identify them for you.
As for your son’s headaches, many people find Amethyst to be very helpful for headaches, especially when programmed to do so. Banded Amethyst, also known as “Chevron Amethyst”, has bands of Quartz in it, which slightly change the energy of this crystal compared to regular Amethyst. Personally, I find this to be a stronger and sometimes more vibrant energy than regular Amethyst. I think it would be a great place to start for your son. Remember to clear the crystal before and after use.
I hope you find this information helpful to you. Headaches can be so debilitating, especially for kids—I hope your son finds lasting relief from his soon! Please contact us again if we can be of any further assistance.
