Question:

"Hello, I just wanted to know the difference between the titles on the website such as polished and cut crystals, Natural crystals and minerals and tumbled stones. What’s the difference and what is better."

Answer:

Hi there A,

Thanks for reaching out to us.

Here is a breakdown of our crystals:

  • Natural crystals refer to crystals in their natural or raw state. They haven't been polished or made smooth.
  • Tumbled crystals are crystals which are most likely tumbled in a rock tumbler with various grits of sand and stones in order to create a smooth stone. Most of the time tumbled stones are smaller crystals. Tumbled stones can also be polished by hand to create a smooth but chunkier version and this is done with stones like Selenite and Calcite which are softer so putting them in a rock tumbler would ruin them.
  • Cut and Polished crystals are crystals which have been cut into a certain shape and then polished smooth.

What is better - whatever you're drawn to. Neither is better than the other one and it really depends on what you're drawn to and what you want to use it for, for instance, a point is better to direct energy than a tumbled stone.
