Tumbled Copal / Columbian Amber with Extra Polish from Columbia
This is a special lot of Tumbled Copal that we received that has an extra high level of polish. Our Supplier from Columbia told us that when he left town the tumbler ran for over a month to obtain this fine polish.
To be considered true Amber, resin from pine trees must completely fossilize over a process of 100,000+ years. Most "Colombian Amber" is less than 1,000 years old and has not yet fossilized. Despite the fact that Copal is not yet Amber, Copal will eventually become Amber as it ages and it has a very similar vibration.
Amber has been used throughout time, including in the breast plates of the high priests, by Native Americans, and by Eastern Indians.
