"I had some fear and doubts about something and this morning I noticed a new white scar appeared on my black tourmaline stone. Do you know if the two conditions are correlated? I read one post about scars appearing because the stone is absorbing negative energy, but there isn't any more information online about it.
I ordered this stone online and before it arrived to me it had 2 scars, now the stone is covered with a lot of scars. Its an XS stone probably 1" by 0.5". Should I get a new stone and give this one back to the earth or should I continue working with this one?
Also I cleanse my space often. I don't usually bring home negative energy but last night I just had some worries. I'm usually connected to my true self but yesterday I was misaligned with a new situation. Any thoughts are appreciated."

Thank you for reaching out with your question.
You said that you cleanse your space, but are you cleansing your black tourmaline/crystals on a regular basis? If the crystal is absorbing lots of negative energy it needs to be cleansed often. You can find info on that here.
The "scars" may be appearing because it is holding a lot of negative energy.
If you feel that the crystal needs to be returned to the earth then do so.
