Hi,

I would love to buy a stone that is calming and relaxing - I am a stressed person and would love to see if that could help. Also I would love a stone that gives a better sleep…if there is one.

looking forward to your answer.
best regards

Dear Jeanette~

Thank you for visiting our website.  I used to be a very stressed out person myself, so I think I should be able to give you some ideas here:

A great stone to try is Amethyst.  All types of Amethyst can help one to work out stress issues.  It is known as a stone of contentment, and balances the subtle bodies, which helps to lower stress. Amethyst works with the Third-Eye, Crown, and Etheric Chakras and stabalizes the Aura. It is also used for deflecting and transmuting negative energies.  As a meditation aid, Amethyst imparts a calm, peaceful and soothing vibe, allowing one to enter deeper states of consciousness.  This quality of the stone is one of the reasons why it has been used to combat insomnia as well. Many crystal-lovers work with the energies of Amethyst to bring spiritual insights during or after meditation.  I personally keep Amethyst in many forms, tumbled, points, clusters, hearts - I just love the stone.  With most stones, I prefer the most natural form, being points or clusters.  One of my favorite Amethyst is our Amethyst Beta Crystals, which you can find here:

I have two of these and they have a very high vibration.  To keep one on my person, I either carry it in my pocket, or I use a pouch with a neckstring when I have no pockets, or if I want to carry it closer to my heart.  You can see these here:

You might also like to try out a stone that has Lithium in it, which is the same ingrediant used in some antidepressents.  We carry Lithium Quartz here, which I have found very helpful when I’ve had trouble falling asleep, and it also helps with stress-reduction.  This crystal works with all Chakras, and, as a Quartz, it is a great healling stone.  It brings very strong, but also calming and peaceful vibrations, helping to quickly ameliorate tension and bring harmony.  I have had great results just holding a Lithium Quartz Point in my hand as I went to bed.  Lithium Quartz also helps one to release attachments to outcome, which is a contributing factor to stress and tension.

Another stone with Lithium in it is Lepidolite, which we also carry. Lepidolite is also used to alleviate stress.  This stone is often used to help one through transitional phases in one’s life. It works with the Heart, Throat, Third-Eye, and Crown Chakras.

I hope these suggestions can help you to find some peace for yourself.  One last thing I would like to mention is the importance of meditation.  I believe that it plays a huge role in helping people to reduce and release stress.   Meditation allows one to finally get quiet within. In a world of constant noise and input, this is greatly needed.  You may not notice the difference right away, although some do, but eventually, you will find that you either handle stressful situations, or you are better able to avoid taking on stress in the first place.   Meditating with crystals can enhance these effects, making peace even more attainable.

Blessings,

~Crystal CAT
