These Natural Pigment Powders are from China, there are rich colors to choose from and they are sold in 50g bags. These are more suited for collectors.
In ancient Egypt, Cleopatra would line her palace walls with Lapis Lazuli for power and eternal life. Malachite was also known to be powdered to make cosmetics and it was a popular choice sometimes used for clairvoyance. It was also used as a pigment or paint for temples and statues.
In ancient Greece, soldiers would dip Hematite in water and rub it on their bodies to protect them during battle.
Forward to many years into our present time, we now know that some stones are toxic and should never be ingested or inhaled even though some were used as paint pigments in the past, like Realgar. It's always recommended to wash your hands after handling (e.g. with Malachite, Lapis Lazuli, Cinnabar, Realgar, Hematite and any other toxic stone).
