My 15 year old granddaughter is rather hyper and argues with her parents and siblings. She's the oldest and wants a lot of attention. Is there any specific gem I could get her to help her calm herself and realize that she is loved very much and doesn't need to make a fuss.  I'm thinking maybe a necklace of some sort of crystal might help her. Do you have any advice about that?

Hi J:

Thanks so much for your question about crystals for your granddaughter. Those teenage years are rough - my son seemed to turn into a entirely different person overnight - and I found that using grounding crystals was really helpful with calming the aggression and moodiness. Teenagers are going through so many physical, emotional and mental changes that I think it's like being on a roller coaster that never stops so you want them to have a crystal that will keep them feeling steady and in control. I like Red Jasper, Black Agate, and either an Amethyst and/or Smokey Quartz. We have bracelets that are a nice way of wearing the crystals, they are inexpensive and they look really cool! I always wear an armful of them, lol.

Here is a link to the bracelets on our website.

Just a hint...if you get her a bracelet tell her to roll them over her hand to get them on or off...if you stretch them the elastic can break.

Thank you again for reaching out to us and for your support of Healing Crystals.com. I hope that I have been able to answer your question and that you will feel free to let us know if you need any further information.

Wishing you lots of Love and Light!

Crystal Blessings!
