Hello :) My mother suffers from Ménière's disease and I read that Dioptase may help. Do you know how it could be used? (the problem resides in her ear). Also does it matter if the Dioptase is on a matrix or a small cluster (I've also seen "gemmy" which looks polished?).Thank you very much, looking forward to hearing from you!

Hi S:

I am sorry to hear about your Mom's condition.  You are correct that Dioptase would be very healing for anyone suffering from Meniere's disease since it is one of the most balancing of crystals.  It will help to keep the body and mind in alignment and that will help to ease the symptoms of vertigo that your Mom may be experiencing.  You could use it to create an elixir - just be sure to place the crystal on the outside of the water and focus on your intention for how you would like it to help your Mom.  I would also have her carry a piece with her on the opposite side of where she is most affected (i.e., if it is her left ear then carry the crystal in a right pocket)  That will keep the balancing energy going throughout her day.

You were also concerned if the energy would differ if it were in matrix or polished.  Either one will be effective and while every crystal carries different energy I think that if you follow your instinct as to which is the right crystal for your Mom then you will not go wrong.

Thank you for reaching out to us and for your support of Healing Crystals.com.  I hope that I have been able to help and that you will not hesitate to contact me with any other questions.

Wishing you lots of Love and Light!

Crystal Blessings!
