This is a very strange question. I purchased a Lapis Lazuil worry stone because I am on bed rest with a high risk pregnancy and also suffer from anxiety. My husband has taken on all household duties, takes care of our young child, and still works. He has a lot on his plate, so I stuck it on his forehead and he instantly got a headache. I thought it was a fluke, but it has happened a few more times after that and now he refuses to let it near him. I too have noticed that it happens to me but not every time like it does to him. When it happens, the headache comes instantly and is quickly relieved when it is taken away. This doesn't happen when I rub it in my fingers. I know this is super strange but have you heard of this happening before? Am I misusing it and causing bad energy? I just want to make sure I am not doing anything wrong. Thank you for contacting Healing Crystals with your question and let me assure you...there are very few questions that we think are strange!
What you're experiencing is actually very common. Lapis Lazuli is a third eye chakra stone, which means that it can be used to open and to balance the third eye. A common side effect of the opening of this chakra is headaches. With all of the household tasks that your husband is currently performing, on top of his regular job, it would make sense for his third eye to be a bit underactive right now, and he would really notice the effects of the Lapis. It is nothing to worry about but since it's giving him headaches he should simply avoid it. He might try Dumortierite instead.
You are not misusing it in any way. If you find it soothing when you rub it between your fingers then just continue to use it in this matter. You might also take a look at our Mommy Assortment, it contains some great crystals for use during pregnancy!
