Hello. I need a crystal reccomendation. My fiance has had night terrors for a few years since a car crash he was in. I would like to know which crystals you think would be best? I've had amethyst hanging above our bed since Friday, but it has only toned the dreams down a very small amount. He is still having weird, scary dreams.

Thanks so much for your question about crystals that can help your friend with the night terrors. I would not recommend the Amethyst right now because it might actually encourage the dreams to come out. Your friend is probably having them so that they can be dealt with and released in a healthy manner but if they aren't ready for that then the Amethyst may not be the best choice right now. I would try Blue Lace Agate which is very calming and grounding, Chrysocolla which will promote deep and peaceful sleep and Dumortierite which will replace the fear and tension with harmony. You want to stay away from the Quartz crystals right now because they amplify everything - you want crystals that are more grounding and relaxing and these should help.
