My closest friends and me are parting ways for college and I want to get them each a different crystal. I know that all crystals are healing and would be helpful to them during this time, but do you have any suggestsions for crystals that will specialize in this situation and wish them good luck and comfort during their new journeys?

Dear L,

Thank you for contacting us with your question -- what a great idea!

Here are our suggestions:

Black Tourmaline
-- for grounding, protection, and centering => very useful in new places and new situations; it is a great stone that strengthens the aura as well.

Fluorite
-- for studying, focus, memory, good organization, clearing mental fog and mental exhaustion

Mookaite Jasper
-- for energy, motivation, and optimism

Mahogany Obsidian
-- for stamina and persistence, when working long-hours on a project

Orange Calcite
-- for creativity, new ideas, motivation

Aquamarine
-- for calm approach to solving problems

Snowflake Obsidian
-- for creating harmony when working in groups

White Agate
-- for peace, calmness, relaxation, and a sense of "everything is ok"

Green Aventurine
is a great choice as well, as it promotes personal growth.

Please make sure to cleanse your crystals regularly, every day if you wear them daily, using one of the methods outlined here.

I hope that these recommendations can be of assistance and that crystals grace your journey with love and light.

We look forward to hearing from you and please feel free to contact us with any questions.

Crystal Blessings!
