Is it necessary to clear and program crystals that are regarded as having their own intrinsic metaphysical properties such as Tibetan Black Quartz and Lemurian Seed crystals when feeling the call to work with them?
Any number of people would have come into contact with the crystals I have purchased, so it makes sense for me to clear them of negative energies since the quartz family is known to absorb unwanted vibes. However, I am unsure if it's even necessary for me to program these crystals that many say have their own unique energetic signatures, particularly Himalayan, Tibetan Black Quartz, and Lemurian Seed crystals.
Is this just a matter of attuning to the crystals and letting them speak to me without needing to clear them? I always make sure to clear any crystal I purchase, but the Tibetan, Himalayan, and Lemurians just stumble me. Maybe I'm being a little bit too "left brained" about this. To clear or not to clear? To program or not to program?
I don't want to end up erasing the stored wisdom of my crystals :-P
Your thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated.

Yes! Attune to the crystals and let them guide you. The wisdom will come to you as you sit with them. You don't have to worry about erasing the stored wisdom from the crystals, even when you clear them, you won't harm them. The wisdom of the crystal will always be a part of the crystal and it will communicate with the user as needed.

Also, you may want to try moving the energy from your brain down to your heart before tuning into the quartz. If you feel your "left brain" is activated, this is a way to bring it down to your heart so you can have a clearer connection to the vibration.
