July started with a bang at Healing Crystals, and not just because of all the fireworks on the Fourth of July. July is the height of summer, with days that can be bright and sunny or hot and humid. But even as we reach the peak of our summer days, we know that the times will be changing soon. This month, Cassie Desir, crystal expert, invites us to prepare for change with her article "Crystals for the Changing Times." In her article, Cassie discusses the metaphysical changes that are taking place this month and in the near future as we travel through the astrological signs of Gemini, Cancer, Leo, and Virgo. Need some help adjusting to these changes? Cassie explains how chakra meditations, Moonstone, Citrine, and Apache Tears can all help us find our way through the changing energetic landscape and grow in positive ways.
Chakras are very much in our future as well as our present. Our second article, "An Introduction to Chakras" by Rachel Niemczyk, teaches us the basics about chakras. Rachel, a crystal sensitive and Feng Shui practitioner, gives an excellent introduction to the chakras and suggests a crystal for each chakra point, including Red Jasper for the Root Chakra, Amethyst for the Third Eye, and Clear Quartz for the Crown. She explains the basics of the chakra system, and the importance of balancing the seven major chakras along the nadis, or energy paths, that flow metaphysically along the spine.
