"Hello, I would like to ask you something. I've cleansed my moonstone for 20 sec in cold filtered water. It is safe for it? I have read that most crystals should be cleansed with lukewarm water. Thank you!"
Thank you for your crystal inquiry.
To be perfectly honest, there are as many people who say lukewarm water should be used as there are those who promote cold water. In my opinion, I think either is fine and have personally done both. I prefer fresh or spring water (I have a well and use that), nothing that has been through a water softener. Water filters like Brita would work fine and I have used that water also.
I think the biggest thing when cleansing your crystals should be the intent you put with the water you use to wash away any negative energies. If your intent is there then the crystal will be cleansed.
I hope you find this helpful.
