I have an ICD but would like to wear crystals. Will this have an adverse effect on my pacemaker / defibrillator? Thank you!

Hi Ti:

Thanks so much for your question about crystals and your ICD. You want to avoid any crystals that have a magnetic charge - two specific ones are Hematite and Shungite. The magnetic charge in genuine Hematite is fairly low but you want to be safe so it is best to avoid Hematite as well as any other crystals that might contain traces of Hematite (Tiger Iron, Iron Jasper, etc.)

Below is a link to our caution guide and that will give you more information about any crystals that might have magnetic/mineral content that could effect your pacemaker. Be sure to check you with your doctor to avoid any medical issues.
