Root Chakra Assortment

Question:

"Are the healing properties of dragon blood stone and bloodstone the same? If not, what are the differences? Are there others which can be combined with them (dragon or bloodstone) to increase their efficiency, such as magnetite? Should you ask the stones if they will work together?"

Answer:

Hi there GS,

Thanks for reaching out to us.

No they are not the same stone so they will have their own properties.

Dragon Blood Jasper Cabochon

Dragon Blood Jasper/Stone, as shown above, is comprised of green Epidote and red Piemonite so you're going to get the properties of both of these in one super cool stone known as Dragon Blood Stone. Read more about its properties in its crystal profile here.

Dragon Stone is also named after Septarian eggs with the black, druzy interior but this is Septarian and not actually Dragon Blood Jasper.

Bloodstone Tumbled

Bloodstone, as shown above, is comprised of deep Green Chalcedony (or Jasper) and small dots of Red Jasper (Red Jasper is red due to hematite/iron oxide inclusions). Read more about its properties in its crystal profile here.

Each of them have their own unique chemical composition, thus resulting in two different stones which are both associated with the same Chakras: Root and Heart Chakra, so both can assist with healing on that level, but again, they each have their own properties too.

You can combine either of these with any other stone/s. It's going to depend on your intention though and what you want to achieve with the stones you are combining, whether that's for one single intention which they are all working toward (a bit like different spices you add to your dish with the spices being the different crystals with their own job in flavoring the dish which is your intention) OR if they're all doing they own job with individual intentions, e.g. Rose Quartz for love, Red Jasper for grounding, Lepidolite for stress management and calm.

And yes, you can definitely ask your stones if they'd like to be combined. That is a lovely practice to do. While all stones can work together, it's always nice to ask them if you'd like.

I hope this helps :)
