"I have a chunk of blue kyanite that I carry around with me when I travel. I had it in a bag with some essential oils and the clove oil leaked and was absorbed into the kyanite. Is it ruined? Is its properties changed too much by this and also is there anyway to clean it? Your advise would be greatly appreciated."

Sorry to hear about the little spill with your clove oil. I would suggest that you could wash the Kyanite in a mild dish detergent and water, making sure to rinse it well. This may not take all of the clove oil out but it will help.
Clove essential oil has long been used to raise vibration in sacred spaces when preparing for ceremonies or rituals. So even if it did not all come out of your Kyanite it will help enhance its ability to block negative energy and promote balance in the chakras.
