I am physically allergic to lithium. Will this adversely effect using the stone metaphysically?

It would be very unusual to have a reaction to Lithium that is contained in a crystal so long as it is used topically. You don't mention what type of allergic reaction that you have to lithium, but carrying a crystal that contains lithium or using one during meditation should not present a problem. Normally, these crystals are great alternatives to taking prescription lithium or lithium supplements orally, for those who either have an allergy or just wish to avoid medication. You might try sitting quietly while holding either a Lithium Quartz or Lepidolite and note any reaction that you might have. If you wish to avoid these crystals completely, Black Tourmaline and Fluorite can also be very helpful for balancing the emotional ups and downs of bi-polar disorder.
