Is it possible to work with a stone like Danburite,which is mainly a Heart Chakra stone, without activating the 3rd Eye Chakra? I really like the Danburite, but I'm deathly afraid of developing psychic abilities by activating the 3rd eye.

Thanks so much for your question about working with Danburite. What you want to do is program your crystal with your specific intention. You want it to work with your Heart Chakra and only the Heart Chakra. I am attaching a linkwith information on how to clear and charge your crystal so just be sure to be very specific with what you want the crystal to do for you. I would not use any negative statements or thoughts like "I do not want this to activate my Third Eye" Just be positive about what you do want to happen and let the crystal do the rest. It's energy will most likely sense your concerns and so will not work on your Third Eye Chakra anyway but you don't want to bring any negativity around it. I would also suggest that you use a strong grounding crystal with it like a Garnet (another crystal for the Root and Heart Chakra) or an Onyx and that will help to keep you from feeling any psychic effects.
