So you are positive using Throat, 3rd Eye, and Crown chakra stones won't activate psychic abilities against my will? I would like to work on the upper chakras, but I'm deathly afraid of opening psychic abilities. I wish I wasnt so fearful of it.

I understand your fear and if we were working together in person I would be able to reassure you about this even more or to clear this fear, but I do have to tell you that not knowing you, not knowing everything you do daily, and communicating with you only through email -- I can not guarantee anything.
I do want to point out that as long as you also work on the lower chakras, especially the root/base chakra for grounding, you can develop a stronger sense that you are always in control to what happens to you, including any spiritual development.
If you are still afraid, see if you can find someone who does energy work in your area and who comes recommended, so you can have someone to work with and ask questions if you experience any sensations that scare you.
Please make sure to cleanse your crystals regularly, every day if you wear them daily, using one of the methods outlined here
