Hi. I recently bought this crystal from a cheap online store, a "clear quartz sword necklace" (has the chakra stones on the front.) It's supposed to be clear quartz. It was very cheap and from China. It didn't cost much. After finding your article about Clear Quartz vs glass, I began having my doubts. I don't trust my intuition, which is why I can never feel a crystal's vibrational energy - even the genuine ones I own. Do you think that this pendant is genuine or not?

Thank you for reaching out to us with your crystal question. I am not able to say definitively if your pendant is Quartz or glass, but here are some ways to try to judge for yourself. First, look for air bubbles in the crystal. That would be a sign that it is most likely glass. Next, you could compare the weight of it to another quartz point of similar size. Their weights should be similar. You could also try a scratch test. The point of a Quartz point can scratch window glass because quartz is harder than most clear glass.
