Hi there. I am very new to crystal healing but have heard it works wonders! I am very emotional and suffer with low self esteem/confidence and I'm struggling to love and accept myself. I have recovered from an eating disorder recently and now unfortunately I am turning to food for comfort, which leads to guilt and over exercise. I need something to help me with my emotions. What can you recommend? Thank you kindly.

Dear E,

Thank you for your question.

It would be good to start with Carnelian, since it is a stone that supports self-confidence, motivation, self-acceptance, courage, optimism, creativity, and physical energy. You can wear it together with Black Tourmalinewhich is one of the strongest grounding and centering stones, and then after a few days, when you feel you have adjusted to the energy of these two--you can add Citrine, which helps with regulating metabolism and brings optimism and joy.

It would be best to carry or wear Carnelian and Black Tourmaline every day, and add Citrine only when you feel drawn to it --and take them off at night, for at least a month, so they can start having the desired effects, even though you can notice some changes very quickly. Make sure to cleanse them under running water every 2-3 days, even though in many crystal books you'll find that Citrine and Carnelian do not need cleansing. However, it is simply a good practice, so they can function at the optimal level.

We look forward to hearing from you and please feel free to contact us with any other questions.

I hope that these recommendations can be of assistance and that crystals grace your journey with love and light.

Crystal Blessings!
