Hello Team. Oh my god , not good ladies , I just brought 4 pieces of raw Black Tourmaline to protect my house , I put my 4 pieces out to enjoy the storms energy (as a storm passed over today) and when I went and got them off the back porch they were wet :( I don't think they liked it. I wiped them and little bits broke off and they felt flat. I love them so much and I feel like a bad mother. Is there anything I can do to make them love me again ? :( Thank you.

Hello again T,

I’m sorry that you feel you damaged your Black Tourmaline. This crystal is not usually harmed by water, but it’s possible the wind and rain from the storm just loosened some pieces that were already coming off. It is common for raw Black Tourmaline to lose bits and chunks periodically due to the structure of the crystal. These little pieces that came off can also be used around your home for protection. If really small, I like to put them in the dirt of a potted plant or in the garden.

I find that my Black Tourmaline loves to be smudged with Sage. Try this and see if you feel it restores the energy and recharges them. For future reference, here is a list of crystals that can be damaged by liquids:

Please let me know if you have any other questions. Love and Light to you!

Crystal Blessings,
