Hi. My question is concerning my Abalone shell. I just saw somewhere that it was being used to hold a smudge stick. I have crystals in mine. Does the shell have a specific purpose that I don't know or can I continue to hold my Quartz crystals in there? They seem very happy. Thanks.

Abaloneis commonly used to hold sage after it is burned. From what I have read, this is part of a Native American tradition but there is no real significance to the abalone itself. Please feel free to use your shell to hold your Quartz and any other crystals that you'd like to place there!
