Question:

"How do I properly store crystals?"

Answer:

Hi Bill,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

Nick informed me that you needed assistance with storing your crystals properly.
This is such a tough question to answer as a lot of people store their crystals differently but I shall share with you what I've found to work for me.

I have one of those plastic containers with dividers which you can purchase from hardware stores. I've lined the compartments with a piece of felt each in order to protect the crystals and give them a soft bed to lie upon. I have also heard of people using velvet pouches or silk wraps to store their crystals in.

I have my crystals arranged according to the chakra they are associated with because I always find that if I'm working with a particular chakra, I want to be in that "area". You could arrange them by color, hardness, chakra, family (all the quartz together, all the kyanite together, etc) or any fashion that works for you to be honest.
Wands I have in their own compartment and if they have a point, I have put a piece of prestik (similar to blue tack / tick tack) on the point in order to protect the point from being damaged should I need to travel with them.

Many of my crystals are tumbled pieces as I prefer to work with tumbled for healing so I generally have a few in one compartment. For instance, in my sacral chakra compartment, I have a piece of moonstone and carnelian. While many tumbled can work well together, I try to not overcrowd a compartment so I stick to 3 crystals or 4 if they are smaller pieces. I've found that when there is more than that inside the compartment, it just feels off to me, and too many can damage the softer ones.

There are people who say they prefer to store them in plastic as it doesn't tend to store energy, but I feel that the way we store crystals should work for us so if you wanted to use wooden drawers or any other fashion, please don't shy away from that.

I hope this helps but if you have any questions, don't hesitate to let me know and I'll assist you as best as I can.
