How do I use your Animal Totem Deck?

Question:

"Hello! So I have a question, I just received my order and I was looking through the Animal Totem/Crystal Deck. And on the website it says there are 49 cards and on the box it says 47. I counted 49 of the crystal/animal cards and then there are 5 others.. One of them it is a cupon and the other side is a blessing, another card it says "out totem" and the other side says "aho". The next card says "messenger totem" and the other side "shadow totem", the next card "finding your totem" and the other "how it works" and the last card "life long totem" and the other side "journey totem". I was wanting to know with these other cards how to use them with the main cards. And which cards to you keep out seperately. I tried reading the how it works but it seems kind of vague. So I'm not too sure on how to use these?"

Hi there M,

Thanks for reaching out to us.

So there are 49 Oracle Cards that you can use. These cards have the animal totem, crystal and keywords in the front with a message from the animal totem at the back.

The other cards, I call them summary cards but these you do not include in shuffling when you are doing readings. These cards include:

  • Front Card/Animal Summary card: This card is what's at the front of the deck and includes a summary behind it of the animals that is featured in the deck.
  • Our Totem/Aho card: This card shared with you our company totem which is the turtle and Aho describes shortly how to use the cards, along with a saying you could incorporate.
  • Prayer Blessings/Coupon card: This card shares our prayer blessing with you, along with a 10% code that you can use for future orders.
  • Messenger/Shadow Totem card: this card explains what a messenger and a shadow totem is. This is additional info for you on these totems.
  • Lifelong/Journey Totem card: this card explains what a lifelong and journey totem is. This is additional info for you on these totems.
  • Finding your Totem/How it Works card: this card explains shortly how to find your totem during a meditation experience, along with how animal totems work. You can of course discover your animal totem during a meditation and then use the card for a little more info and what crystal complements that animal. It's a personal preference. I prefer to use the cards as messengers.

How to use these cards:

Well there is no wrong or right way to use cards but this is how I use mine:

As I mentioned above, I use my cards more along the "messenger totem" route for some guidance.
I will take 3 deep breaths, get into a quiet space within my heart, another few breaths then shuffle the cards until I'm guided to stop. I then choose my card and read my message. Some people stop then spread the cards out and use their hands to feel subtle shifts in energy over the card they choose.
For me the animal and crystal serves as guidance, a message that I'm most likely missing or just should be aware of for the day/s. You can also look up the crystal for extra insight.
